Annie Grace Couvillion

Sacramento,CA,US

Beginning her FEMA Corps service in February 2013, Annie Grace Couvillion soon put her disaster relief training to work when she was deployed to Oklahoma in the aftermath of the May 2013 tornado. A member of the Logistics Team, her role is to maintain proper records for the supplies, equipment, and computers that are sent to disaster sites. Accordingly, she labels these items with barcodes and enters identifying information into FEMA databases. Operating under the administration of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, FEMA Corps members provide not only disaster and recovery support services, but also assist communities in disaster preparedness. Annie Grace Couvillion is serving an 11-month term in the FEMA Corps.

A photography major, Ms. Couvillion graduated with a BFA from the University of New Hampshire in 2012. While her professional pursuits in the photography field are on hold while she performs a year of national service, her works were positively received at a gallery opening sponsored by the college, at which she successfully sold some of her pieces.

In her free time, Annie Grace Couvillion enjoys hiking and taking photographs. She is passionate about sampling international cuisines while traveling abroad and tasting regional dishes around the United States.
