Anthony Adero

Anthony Adero is a human rights, LGBTQ and HIV activist now living in Seattle for nearly 5 years. In Kenya, he lobbied for improved human rights and access to sexual health information for young men who have sex with men (YMSM) and Gay Men, especially related to prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. He worked with a range of non-governmental organizations and the United Nations. Anthony was also a member of the Youth Reference Group at the Global Forum on MSM and HIV.

Anthony has continued his social justice activism in Seattle, working with diverse LGBTQ and POCs communities on broader issues related to health, HIV, and LGBTQ immigration rights, with a focus on overcoming barriers and building resiliency. He is also a frequent guest speaker on the realities of the lives, challenges, and progress of LGBTQ people in Communities and his lived reality in Africa.
