Anthony Campanella

New York, New York, United States

Anthony Campanella was born on January 3rd, 1977 in Brooklyn, NY to working class Italian parents. His mother, Michelle, was born in Brooklyn in 1947 and his father, Francesco, migrated from Pozzallo, Sicily where he was born in 1938. He is the youngest of three children. He has two older brothers, Peter and Richard (Richie). The first 3 years of Anthony’s life, the Campanella family lived in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. It wasn’t until 1980 that the family moved to the town in Queens that Anthony would later call home, Ridgewood. Anthony lived in Ridgewood with his parents in their 2-family home on Onderdonk Avenue for 27 years until he was married in October, 2007.

Anthony attributes the values and life-lessons he has acquired to his roots in Ridgewood, NY and references them often. His addiction to nostalgia and the memories of his youth inspire many of the stories and rants he creates. He has great respect for the “old school” and “the way things were”. On the other side of that, he also spends a great deal of his time researching new technologies and efficiencies. His has always had a love for gadgets and tech-stuff. He is a self-proclaimed “geek” (although most won’t argue) and has always strived to keep a balance between his geeky habits and his social life.
