With nearly three decades of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Anthony Schepsis has cultivated a reputation as an expert on injuries of the patellofemoral (knee) joint. A member of both the Board of Directors for the Patellofemoral Foundation and the exclusive International Patellofemoral Study Group, Dr. Anthony Schepsis has produced material on this topic for medical instructional videos, professional symposia, and prominent publications. His innovations include bellwether options for prosthetic replacement and resurfacing in the patellofemoral region, as well as several surgical management operations for associated cartilage damage. Dr. Schepsis' work in this arena also yielded a new technique in reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligaments.

Dr. Schepsis' work has appeared in such leading medical publications as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the American Journal of Sports Medicine. He also co-authored Sports Medicine, an educational text for medical residents specializing in athletic injury treatment.
