Anthony Sciscione

Anthony Sciscione, D.O., began his career after attending the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. Prior to this, Dr. Anthony Sciscione completed his undergraduate education at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1982, graduating with a Bachelor of Science. Upon graduation from the University of New England, Dr. Anthony Sciscione undertook extensive postdoctoral training. Beginning his rotational internship in 1987 at New Jersey’s Union Hospital, he followed it up with an internship in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. From 1989 until 1992, he served as a resident of OB/GYN at the Medical Center of Delaware. Dr. Sciscione also completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Johns Hopkins medical institutions and participated in the APGO/Solvay Educational Scholars Program. Dr. Sciscione currently serves as Director at the Delaware Center for Maternal & Fetal Medicine of Christiana Care and concurrently functions as Director at the Residency Program in Christiana Care Health System. A recognized authority in his field, Dr. Sciscione lends his expertise to reviewing journal articles from his peers. Some of the scholarly publications that Dr. Sciscione has reviewed include the journal of Drug Safety, the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the Journal of Perinatal Medicine. A service-oriented individual, Dr. Sciscione contributes to his local community through his involvement in the Pennsbury Township Planning Committee. He has also served as Commissioner of the Unionville Recreation Association’s baseball program. Away from his professional career and charitable commitments, Dr. Sciscione enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
