I am extremely passionate about startups, entrepreneurship and making a difference through hard work and innovation. I dream of real-time Activity Streams, data/information analysis and CEP.

Recently, I joined FeedZai where I will be working towards making Real-Time Big Data an easy, powerful and scalable endeavor for every corporation.

I worked at Portugal Telecom for over 4 years, first designing and building a next-generation Complex Event Processing system for real-time Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). More recently I have been at SAPO, the leading Portuguese Web property. For a year I developed Android Apps and since late 2011 I am a proud member of the Big Data and Event Processing team.

Furthermore, I am a Computer Engineering MSc graduate at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal. My thesis was about state-of-the-art Automatic Verification of Information Systems Architecture by strictly and passively analysing corporate network traffic.
