I was born in Athens, hence my sometimes unintelligible Greek accent. I moved to England when I was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in economics. In 1980, I moved to the United States and have lived here ever since.

I am the proud mom of two college-aged girls, Christina and Isabella.

In 2005, I co-founded The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that has taken me on one of the most amazing rides of my life.

I love drinking hot lattes with a straw, am addicted to my three Blackberrys, enjoy nothing more than feeding people Greek cookies, and am obsessed with sleep.
