The first video I ever made was filmed on an analog camera and edited with a VCR.  The ten minute feature was made up mostly of commercial spoofs and ended with a comedic horror movie titled "No Butts About It" (low-brow humor was in at age fifteen).

By the time I used my first digital camera for a school project, I got bit by the film bug.  I considered myself the next Spielberg.

I mastered the art of digital editing in my film class when I created Mime Movie - a short theatre etiquette video that used jump cuts to give the action on screen the illusion of stop motion.  The video was entered into a contest and lost to a Matrix spoof, but I considered my video a masterpiece.

Almost ten years later, I'm still making my own movies and have even made my own production company.  Programs like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro allow me to edit with far more ease than a VCR.  Video sites like Youtube, Vimeo, and Funny Or Die give us an outlet to broadcast our work to the world.
