Terra Ash Bruxvoort

My mission is to inspire others to lead mindful lives that benefit the health and sustainability of our communities and earth.

I am currently on a year-long nomadic journey across the United States to work on farms, interview farmers and learn more about sustainable agriculture. I'm blogging the journey at The Nomadic Farmer.

I'm a freelance writer with a focus on agricultural and conservation writing. My work has appeared in Precision Ag Magazine. You can read more about my freelance writing services at ashbruxvoort.com. I also do nature writing at Modern Girl Walden.

I grew up on a farm in Mitchellville, Iowa, where I was inspired by the earth and developed a desire to care for it. It wasn't until I reached college that I really began to understand what that meant and how it would change my life.

When I'm not writing, farming or traveling you'll find me listening to music, running or reading a good book. Writing about the environment is my biggest passion, but I also write about health, cycling, beer and nonprofit marketing. You can read my (sometimes) angry tweets about bike commuting @bikecommprobs.
