Asiago is the Marketing Technologist for Natural Epicurean, a plant-based culinary arts academy. His goal at the organization is to help redefine what "plant-based" means and what it can look like.
For the past 7 years he has worked in both the food and tech industries managing crucial roles at Natural Epicurean, Tech Ranch, The UT Food Lab (Now Food + City), The Sustainable Food Center, and Greenling.com (Now Farmhouse Delivery). He is the founder of Food & Tech Austin and Advisor to various food and tech related initiatives across the nation.
He sees the world through the lenses of food and culture. Much of his academic studies and professional initiatives are aimed at creating a global community united through dialogue and mutual consultation.
He is multilingual, speaking both Spanish and Portuguese fluently, and has a real knack for bringing people of all different walks of life together. He has helped launch several cultural education programs including Cooking Up Cultures, BrazilPod at The University of Texas at Austin, and various community driven projects including Austin Foodies, Austin Home Cooks, Austin Food Bloggers Alliance to name a few.
