Attorney Joseph Solfanelli possesses more than four decades of experience in business law and banking, including acquisitions, business planning, contractual matters, corporate reorganization, and financial planning. Since 1975, he has served as a general business lawyer in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he represents a diverse range of banks, independent business owners, and major corporations. Joseph Solfanelli's past cases include the benchmark decision Gleneagles 803 f.2d 1288, in which the Federal District Court settled the solvency test for leveraged transactions.

After receiving his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Scranton, Joseph Solfanelli earned his juris doctorate from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, where he earned admittance to the school's prestigious law review. Subsequently, he launched his career as an associate with Whitman & Ransom in New York.

Alongside his career, Attorney Joseph Solfanelli has contributed to a variety of community organizations. He has served as vice president of the Salvation Army in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is the original incorporator and a charter member of the Scranton Cultural Center.
