I'm the executive director of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders USA . I joined the independent medical humanitarian organization in 2006 after a couple of decades as a journalist. Assignments have spanned crisis hotspots such as Ukraine, Haiti, DR Congo, Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, Sudan, South Sudan, South Africa, and Mauritania. I've worked as a country representative and project coordinator, leading aid operations for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.
