Based in the Bronx, New York, Babak Bamdad is Director and Chief of Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center’s Pharmacy Department. He supervises all aspects of the operation. With a focus on maintaining state and federal regulatory compliance, he achieves standards of productivity, performance, and quality in adherence with those established by Presentation Medical Center. Mr. Bamdad also supervises staff issues, which include hiring, orienting, and training new employees. With a focus on monitoring and evaluating employees, he completes annual performance reviews in a timely manner. Babak Bamdad’s responsibilities include providing disciplinary action and corrective guidance in situations where staff performance falls below expectations. He controls workflow and scheduling to ensure that pharmacy services are seamless and integrated.

Babak Bamdad gained his current role after only six months on the night pharmacy staff. His achievements include establishing several retail pharmacy outlets in a period of less than a year. Actively involved in his profession, Mr. Bamdad holds affiliations with the Association of Clinical Research for the Pharmaceutical Industry and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.

Babak Bamdad earned a Bachelor of Talmudic Law from Baltimore’s Ner Israel Rabbinical College in 1987. The accredited program allowed him to take additional courses from area institutions such as Loyola College, Towson University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Mr. Bamdad attended the latter institution from 1988 to 1990, completing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He then undertook doctoral studies in pharmacy at Long Island University’s Brooklyn College of Pharmacy (now the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences). Mr. Bamdad earned several distinctions during his time as a PhD student, including awards for residency excellence and safety in medicine use.

In his free time, Mr. Bamdad is drawn to games such as poker, billiards, and chess. He also enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and gardening. A supporter of Chabad of Baltimore and Chabad of Great Neck, Babak Bamdad has donated care packages and art supplies to children living at local shelters for underprivileged individuals.
