Babatunde hails from Okepopo area of Lagos Island, Lagos State. He had his primary education from Lerato International School, Dopemu Agege in 1995. Secondary education from Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Ojokoro Ijaye, Lagos in 2001.

He had his first degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, in 2008. He had his National Youth Service Corp in Ilorin, Kwara State, where he served as the president of his CD's group (Keep the Environment Clean) in 2009. Thereafter, he worked as a facilities manager with Alpha mead Facilities and Management Services Limited for about two years, managing multiple sites owned by Total, E&P Nigeria Limited. He later bagged his second degree, MSc in Facilities Management, where he had a distinction in his dissertation on Sustainable Facilities Management at the University of Greenwich in 2014. After obtaining his second degree from the United Kingdom. He was offered an appointment as an operations coordinator with Broll Property services affiliate of CBRE managing Global Multinational companies like Pfizer Specialties Limited for three years and six months with Mondelez Nigeria. Where he was the site lead as part of the global initiatives to outsource the management of the plants with other African and Middle East Countries.

He also holds a foundation certificate in Prince 2. (Project In Controlled Environment), member of the International Facility Management Association(Nigeria Chapter) and Associate member in view of The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers.

Currently a PhD Research student in the school of Art, Design & Architecture, University of Huddersfield. Started October 2017. Babatunde's research is on "Obsolescence and it's effect on Building Performance" Case study of a Public Building.
