Walt Disney knew what doing the impossible was all about. A simple guy from the Midwest that was able to build a foundation for the happiest place on earth. I am also a Midwest native dreaming big dreams. I expect to do the impossible by making those dreams come true. What is a Missouri girl doing by trying to develop a travel/lifestyle blog, if not impossible?

There has always been something within me crying to pursue greatness. I am not sure that it requires me to be great. The greatest people are those who are able to shine the spotlight on others. Everyone has a story of how they have overcome the impossible. Some stories are more dramatic and dynamic than others, but there is always something great lurking under the surface of every person.

I began a journey into journalism to find the other impossible dreamers of the world and allow the world to grow through their experiences. Traveling the world is necessary to find those secretive souls. People travel everyday, but often they stay in resorts carefully tucked away from the realities of a place. My dream is to create a blog or article series that takes readers on a journey around the world showing them the true nature of locations and their people. Telling stories and going on adventures along the way takes travel journalism to the natives.

I have already started laying the foundation to make my dreams come true by interning with the National Academy of Arts and Sciences Mid-America chapter and with KTVI/KPLR news stations on an inspirational talk show. I have learned what great journalism looks like and how to seek out great stories. My storytelling skills have been fine tuned through the courses in University of Missouri-St. Louis' Media Studies program. I am ready to take the next step in making my impossible dream a reality.
