I'm a Professor of Computer Science at University College Dublin where I head-up the CLARITY Centre for Sensor Web Technologies. My research focuses on personalization technologies and recommender systems..

I have been very fortunate to be able to translate my research into the commercial world. I was one of the co-founders of ChangingWorlds (now a division of Amdocs) and I'm similarly involved in HeyStaks, a recently funded social search startup.
