Beatrice, rescued by the Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) during an undercover investigation of the South Dakota puppy mill where she was suffering, is a tireless advocate on behalf of animals, especially those in pet shops and puppy mills.

Despite her serious medical conditions, she is happy, cheerful and friendly. Everywhere she goes, she attracts attention. Beatrice has congenitally deformed elbows and is blind in one eye from glaucoma, so people are curious about her. Their questions start a discussion about puppy mills and pet shops.

A talented model who loves to be in front of the camera, Beatrice is a wonderful spokesmodel for CAPS. Her social site networking skills are superb. In addition to LinkedIn, she is also on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, "Bea's Beat," her blog is witty and amusing.

Beatrice definitely has an attitude, but it is very becoming to her. She has her own CAPS business cards, which she is happy to distribute.

CAPS wouldn't be the same without Beatrice.
