Beatrice Katcher

Beatrice Katcher is a visual journalist who enjoys covering public health, education, technology, music, art and culture. She is an experienced photojournalist, video producer, writer, social media manager and web content producer.
A native Detroiter, she received a BA in Journalism Honors from Wayne State University, and her undergraduate senior honors thesis (HowDetroitEats.org) was a multimedia project that focused on food security in Detroit. Her love of dynamic storytelling is why she is studying multimedia at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Beatrice enjoys traveling and recently studied art and architecture in France. She also loves spending time with her husband and children, learning new languages, reading, DJing, and discovering new music.
