Flavio Scollo was born in 1984 in Moncalieri, near Turin, from a Sicilian father and mother from Benevento. Raised in Naples, he later moved to Bologna, where he began studying Communication Sciences and began to collaborate with several redactions operating in the third sector as an editor and producer of audio-visual materials. Photographer and curator, he is currently based in Rome, where he works for Punctum Press, a publishing house specialized in contemporary photography. He is also member of Studio Moiré, an informal collective of artists and professionals, and founding member of the editorial and curatorial project Zivalski. His research is focused on the study of the anthropological contemporary by analyzing the historical and prehistoric and using methods inspired by, or mutuate, from archaeological practice. Recently he has been selected as artist in residence by the Menotrentuno Festival in Villanova Monteleone and collaborated as curatorial artist with the State Archive of Rome. The firs chapter of his latest work A Quest for Fire has been selected for the main collective of the XIV edition of the FOTOGRAFIA – International Festival of Rome
