I write weekly for the San Francisco Chronicle's SFGate Culture Blog, and co-edit Slow News Day. In addition, I've contributed to 7x7 Magazine, San Francisco Magazine, and the Nob Hill Gazette, among other classy publications. Periodically, I show up around San Francisco and tell funny stories on stage. Winner of the 1986 Mill Valley Fire Prevention Poster Contest, the December 2009 Literary Death Match and 7x7 Magazine's Hot 20 Under 40 Reader's Choice Award, I enjoy singing in my car, horrible reality television, and making a big deal about airplane turbulence.
