Hi, I'm Brad Feld, an author and venture capitalist best known for my philosophy and latest book, Give First: The Power of Mentorship. "Give First" encapsulates a simple yet powerful concept: generously providing mentorship, resources, and support without immediate expectation of return. This approach has become foundational in startup communities worldwide, fostering genuine connections, collaboration, and lasting success. Through my writing and speaking engagements, I actively promote this mindset, believing that generosity is a key driver of innovation and growth.
Beyond writing, I am a co-founder and partner at Foundry, a Boulder-based venture capital firm dedicated to supporting innovative startups. I've also co-founded Techstars, one of the world's leading startup accelerator networks, where the "Give First" philosophy plays a central role in guiding entrepreneurs.
Together with my wife Amy Batchelor, I co-founded the Anchor Point Foundation, emphasizing our commitment to philanthropic initiatives that empower communities through education, entrepreneurship, arts, and environmental conservation.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am an avid art collector, a dedicated long-distance runner, and enjoy exploring nature through solitary mountain hikes. I believe deeply in continuous learning, personal growth, and the transformative power of community.
