Bianca Koenig was recruited to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo from Santa Monica, California on a pole vault scholarship. After graduation and a year commuting to downtown Los Angeles, the landscape architect joined Wallace Group, in San Luis Obispo, in 2003. 

A LEED accredited professional with the U.S. Green Building Council, Koenig serves on the Regional Council of the California Central Coast chapter (C4) to complement her personal mission; to build communities of tolerance, respect, health and wellness .

Koenig became a founding member of the Deanna Maran Foundation for Non-Violence after her sister’s death in 2001. She and husband, Joe, live in Cayucos with their son Les and turtle, named Soup.
