Bill is a Software Engineer at CBS Interactive working on all kinds of interesting Data Driven Products.  He is also a husband, gamer, golfer, Cubs fan (+1 loyalty) and fierce competitor at all things. 

My primary focus is on building back-end data platforms to arm people (Editors, Application Engineers, Business Intelligence Consumers) with actionable insights about our content, users, traffic and a wide range of other subjects.  That said, I have a web application development background as well and an ever-present itch to push the boundaries of what can be done on the client.  Late at night, I can often be found laying on the couch in ergonomically disastrous positions while hacking away with the latest Javascript - HTML5 - CSS3 offerings.  Currently, that involves prototyping a serverless, API-driven, single page application using jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, backbone.js and mustache templating via hogan.js.
