Bill Mulrow

Serving the people of New York as Chairman of the Housing Finance Agency and the State of New York Mortgage Agency is just one of the many hats Bill Mulrow wears during his workday. He is a nationally recognized authority on public finance and investment banking at the Blackstone Group, where he holds the position of Senior Managing Director.

Before taking the position at Blackstone, Mulrow held senior executive positions in the Municipal Securities Group at Citigroup and at Gabelli Asset Management, where he headed the firm’s new product development. As a Managing Director at Paladin Capital Group, Bill Mulrow handled a multi-stage investment fund that focused on homeland security-related investment opportunities. Early in his 30-year career, Mulrow was a Managing Director of corporate finance at Rothschild Inc. and headed the public finance banking division at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities.

Mulrow has contributed his time and energies to government service throughout his long career on Wall Street. He has been a member of the board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, the Municipal Assistance Corporation of the City of New York and the United Nations Development Corporation.

An honors graduate of Yale University, where he was designated as a Rhodes scholar finalist, Mulrow attended graduate school at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and earned a Master of Public Administration. He lives with his wife and three children in Westchester County.
