Bishop Keith Butler

Bishop Keith Butler served as the Senior Pastor of the Word of Faith International Christian Center in Detroit, Michigan, from 1979 until 2010, after which he assumed the office of Senior Pastor at the Faith4Life Church in Round Rock and Dallas, Texas. For Bishop Keith Butler, faith and family are intertwined. He and his wife graduated together from the Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Three of Bishop Keith Butler’s children have followed his footsteps into the ministry, and his oldest son, André, became the Senior Pastor of the Word of Faith International Christian Center when Bishop Keith Butler departed. The focus on family also extends to Bishop Keith Butler’s pastoral work. The Word of Faith International Christian Center offers numerous family-centered programs, including ministries on marriage, proactive parenting, and divorce. Bishop Keith Butler co-authored a book, Home Improvement, with his wife Deborah. This book provides advice and counseling for troubled families and couples. He is also the author of Managing the Family Business and several other full-length publications. In 2006, online magazine Keeping Family First interviewed Bishop Keith Butler for its series Faith, Family, and Politics. In the interview, Bishop Keith Butler emphasized his views about the link between scriptural knowledge and a happy family life. Bishop Keith Butler continues his service at the Faith4Life Church. The church holds dedicated youth services weekly, provides child care opportunities during regular worship hours, and ministerial counseling. While emphasizing family, Faith4Life Church also offers classes for unmarried members of the congregation.
