NASA Engineer & GeekDad

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and received an undergraduate in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. After college, I moved to Maryland to take an opportunity to work for Lockheed Martin on the Hubble Space Telescope program at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I soon moved out to Boulder for a little over a year to support the development of the Wide Field Camera 3 and Cosmic Origins Spectrograph Instruments installed during Hubble Servicing Mission 4. Living back in Maryland I continued to work at Goddard as a contractor on the James Webb Space Telescope project and the Thermal Infrared Sensor instrument under development for the Landsat Data Continuity Mission. I have since become a full NASA employee and I am currently supporting the Joint Polar Services Satellite Project. Somewhere in all of that I also managed earn a masters degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Maryland.

I also work as a contributor on the GeekDad blog, focusing on space education and engineering at home. I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful boys at home that keep me busy but always smiling.
