Brandi Dawson is a future-ready leader with over 10 years of experience in education. She has a proven track record of success in utilizing strategic planning and data analysis to develop standards of services around inquiry & literacy instruction, a culture of literacy, and stakeholder outreach. She partners with curriculum teams to embed resources that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication into the written, taught, and assessed curriculum.

Dawson holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4 from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master in Library and Information Sciences from Texas Woman’s University, and a Program Certificate in Principal from Lamar University. She is certified as a Principal (EC-12), School Librarian (EC-12), Generalist (EC-4), and English as a Second Language (EC-4). She is also proficient in a variety of technology tools, including video conferencing, graphic design, tutorial builders, screen recorders, and the Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft Office Suite.

In her current role as a Personalized Learning Coordinator at Garland ISD, Dawson oversees and supports the planning, delivery, and implementation of a sustainable, high-quality, Personalized Learning instructional model at the elementary and secondary levels. She also established and oversaw the implementation of focused, data-driven instruction to improve student achievement.

Dawson is passionate about volunteering and has served in leadership roles for several organizations, including the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) and the Texas Library Association (TLA).
