Braxton Billings

A health care management major, Braxton Billings balances a busy career as a student at the University of Alabama with a commitment to a range of civic and philanthropic initiatives. Since enrolling at the university, he has volunteered with Tuscaloosa-area nonprofit organizations such as Arts n’ Autism, Tuscaloosa One Place, and Temporary Emergency Services. Altogether, Braxton Billings has provided the community with nearly 200 hours of volunteer service.

Braxton Billings has also made contributions to campus organizations. He currently serves as the executive director of DRIVE, a community mentoring program operated under the auspices of the university’s Honors College. He also leads as president of Culverhouse Connections, an alumni relations organization that develops mentorship and professional development programs. Previously, Mr. Billings supervised more than three dozen of his peers as a resident advisor in a university dormitory.

In addition to his community efforts, Mr. Billings prepares for his future health care management career through internships and involvement with academic organizations. A student fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives, he belongs to groups such as the Health Care Management Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
