Born and raised in Cape town, South Africa, Brendt has over 12 years experience in social networking and digital marketing. Brendt is a co founder of the South African web success story Blueworld Communities which comprises of the websites blueworld.co.za, zoopedup.com and speakerbox.co.za.
In 2008 Blueworld Communities was forever entrenched in South African web history, when it became the first “start-up” to be purchased by a large South African corporate namely Naspers.
Brendt sold his shares in BW Communities in 2009 and joined SA's leading WASP Via Media where he headed up sports and mobile games subscription services
Brendt is a director of a family owned property investment company Brentam Properties which has both residential and commercial properties in the Western Cape. Brendt also sits on the board of directors of POD South Africa an innovative travel production company.
Brendt is a keen sportsman who plays cricket, action cricket, hockey and golf. He prides himself in being a family man, loyal friend and innovative businessman.
