I am a managing director with Odyssey Capital Group, a financial advisory firm, in New York City. I also serve on various professional, business, educational, and non-profit boards.
Product of Utah, a BYU and Columbia alum, and, yes, Eagle Scout. Into international travel (the more exotic, the better), photography, family history, et al. Devoted altruist. Have lived in (not just passed through) Berlin, Taipei, Jerusalem, and Washington, D.C., with stay-overs in places as diverse as Lhasa, Angkor Wat, Moscow, Istanbul, Cape Town, Marrakech, Budapest, Antigua de Guatemala, and Salt Lake City.
Some life highlights: white-water rafting on the Colorado, Tibetan sky burial, hot air ballooning over Cappadocia, near-death experience in China, tear-gassing near the Iron Curtain, Emperor Hirohito's birthday, guest on the "Today Show," climbing Table Mountain, sunrise atop Mount Sinai, snorkeling in the Red Sea, trilobyte fossil-hunting in the Great Basin, sulfur blast atop Volcan Pacaya, pioneer trail casualty monument dedication in Nebraska, working on Wall Street on 9/11. Reasonably fluent in German with dashes of Mandarin and Spanish, plus other linguistic interests.
I live in Manhattan with my beautiful wife Lorinda and our 6 stellar children. Life is good.
