Brent Jacobsen

I'm a social media and internet marketer – I'm an avid reader of Techcrunch, Mashable, The Verge,GigaOm, All Things D, Social Media Today, and many other great publications.

I was born a problem solver, and have entrepreneurship in my blood. I'm addicted to technology and I absolutely love driving and everything driving-related (especially Ferraris and Aston Martins).

I'm a Class of 2012 MBA from Brigham Young University, where I focused my studies on marketing, entrepreneurship, and business strategy.

I am a reformed pizza restaurant owner (I owned two Pier 49 Pizza locations in Northern Utah for about 5 years). During my time as a restaurant owner, I spent a lot of time working in the Point-of-Sale space, and I am currently a strong advocate for seamless cross-channel buying experiences for consumers.

I have done work with commercial real estate development and investment (I personally managed the financing, construction, leasing, and sale of an 11,000 sq. foot retail shopping center).

I have also spent a lot of time working in SOLOMO (the intersection of social media, local business, and mobile marketing), with an emphasis on helping small businesses bridge the gap between brick and mortar and online commerce. A lot of my efforts have been focused on helping offline retailers manage their online reputations.

Besides the different companies I have started, I have also worked for Intel Corporation, The Academy For Creating Enterprise, SelectHealth, and Terillion.
