Brian Burgess
Freelance and Consumer Tech Writer in Minnesota
I worked in IT for 10 years before pursuing my passion for writing about consumer technology. I've been a tech blogger and journalist for the past seven years. My key experience is in Windows and other Microsoft products, devices, and services. But it doesn't stop there.
I'm also well versed in Android, iOS, Mobile, Google, Apple TV, Roku (anything home entertainment-related), and home networking. Anything tech-related I enjoy. I mainly write about technology under my real name but have used the screen name "mysticgeek" in the past.
These is the project I'm working on now:
Lead Editor at groovyPost.com
Here's what I've done in the past:
Tech Contributor at New Atlas formerly Gizmag.com
Executive Editor at Byte.com
Tech Contributor at InformationWeek
Lead Editor for How-To Geek
How To Tech Editor at aNewDomain.net
Tech Contributor at Dell TechPage One
Contributor at Home Server Show
Contributor at SimpleHelp.net
What I do away from the keyboard:
I play acoustic and electric guitar, collect rock and metal records. I'm a huge fan of WWE and UFC and I enjoy fishing and gardening in the summer.
