Brian Laung Aoaeh

I am first and foremost a research analyst.

I am a partner at KEC Ventures, an early stage investor in technology startups. I am based in New York City.

I spend the vast majority of my time looking for exceptional founders, and helping them to build their startups before anyone else knows they exist. On our team I am a subject matter specialist for our investments in software startups in Internet Infrastructure, Supply Chain Logistics, and Transportation.

I have lived in the United States since 1997. I am Ghanaian by birth, but grew up in Nigeria and Ghana before coming to the United States to study for my first degree. Home is Ghana. Home is Nigeria. Home is the United States.

I hold a BA from Connecticut College with a double major in Mathematics and Physics. I also hold an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with a specialization in Financial Instruments and Markets. I am a CFA charterholder.

I volunteer my free time to a number of endeavors related to entrepreneurship and technology startups in Africa.

I am a village boy at heart.
