Brian Lightbody

I am a Freelance Creative Director / Art Director available for contract work.

I am a former Group Creative Director at Engine in NYC, where I led digital and social creative for some of the world's most well known brands.

Prior to Engine I was a VP/Creative Director at noise working on Brands such as Tresemmé, Toni&Guy, Vitaminwater, Vice and Sunkist.

Before noise I cut my teeth assisting designer James Victore and creating traditional and digital work on madison Avenue for big agencies like JWT, Ogilvy & Mather, and BBH.

Outside of Advertising I have been commissioned for illustration work in Nylon magazine, Paper magazine, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. and have been featured in Print Design Annual, Art Directors Club, Creativity, Advertising Age, Apple App Store, Webby Awards,The Graphis New Talent Annual, Mass MOCA, and Art Basel.

I also create spacey music with Dragon Turtle that eventually gets pressed on beautifully colored vinyl.

I am a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, where I studied advertising and design.
