I am a normal chick who does normal stuff.

I have held every job in the book. From weed-pulling landscaper to Executive Director of a multi-million dollar company, I've been there, done that.

It all started when I was 15 years old and got busted for a Minor in Possession of Alcohol. I hadn't even ever drank. The alcohol belonged to the "cool" (underaged) college students we were trying to party with.

When I had to do community service for my crime, I came across the North Idaho Youth For Christ. Unfortunately, they couldn't sign off on community service for me, but at that moment a relationship was born.

Within a few months, the Director of YFC asked if I would speak and perform (with The POSSE.. if ya don't know... now you know) in front of over 1500 people at their event.

I did it and IT WAS AMAZING. I was so nervous and so excited to be up there. It was the first of many future speaking enagements I had, but more importantly, it led to the following summer.

I was asked by YFC to help them create their very first summer day camp in Coeur D' Alene and I did. It was even more awesome than the speaking.

I couldn't believe I got paid to play with kids all day. It was a dream life for me.

It led to 20 more years of working in different jobs where I got to lead, train, and play with people of every age.

One of the big rules I always had was that whenever we would use a facility, we needed to always leave the place looking better when we left than when we came in.

I'm guessing you can figure out that it was very easy to grow my programs and find partners who wanted to support us with facilities and other resources.

Finally, though, I had to look in the mirror and figure out if I was doing that same thing for myself.

After almost 20 years of service to others, I was alone, depressed, addicted to nicotine, and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

I had great relationships with thousands of people, but couldn't figure out what it meant to love or how to find someone who would love me.

The truth is, I wasn't in a good relationship with myself. I was allowing myself to be drained from all directions and I wasn't leaving myself better for it.

Finally, I decided something needed to change and I began a journey that transformed my life.

Thank you for joining me.
