Brina Bujkovsky

Brina’s love of art and design was a genetically inherited trait passed down from both sides of her family. She began drawing faces and figures at age 2 and won her first art contest at age 4. She was excited to win the ribbon but it was the $50 saving bond that it came with that really changed the way she would think about art.

A born entrepreneur, Brina began selling packs of Gatorade gum to the other elementary school students on her school bus as a kindergartener. It was a surprisingly good business model and she made enough money to tell her parents to shove their 25 cent weekly allowance and “I'll live with my unmade bed, thank you very much.”

Not only a skilled artist and designer, Brina is a seasoned business leader with solid experience solving complex issues and strategically growing a brand. Brina served as CEO of The Younique Boutique, inc. for over a decade. Her passion for art and design coupled with a love of technology made an ecommerce gift boutique the perfect fit for her diverse skill set. Prior to founding The Younique Boutique, she worked as a software interface designer for Shea Homes, Franchise.com and iVillage.

Brina's last project is a consumer web startup called StokeBox where members trade up boxes of their best, gently used and outgrown stuff. As founder and CEO, Brina led StokeBox to win 3rd Place at Startup Weekend San Diego 2012 and become a semifinalist at the San Diego Venture Group's prestigious PitchFest 2012.

Brina holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from San Diego State, University. She was a 2012-2013 Fellow in the Startup Leadership Program in San Diego and a mentor with Startup Weekend San Diego.
