Britta Van Dun
Britta Van Dun is a licensed acupuncturist, intuitive counselor, gem + flower essence practitioner and certified yoga instructor. Britta lived and traveled abroad extensively before earning masters degrees in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in 2002. While serving as an independent therapeutic counselor and an Associate Director at Teachers College, Britta was led to Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga and Vipassana meditation. Vitalized by body and breath-centered practices, Britta soon began studying holistic healing through listening, movement, breath and touch. Establishing a private practice for custom essences and intuitive therapy in 2008, Britta was awarded an MA with honors in Acupuncture Oriental Medicine from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2010. Integrating Chinese, Japanese and trigger-point methods in her acupuncture practice, Britta is most inspired by the teachings of energetic/pranic healers with whom she studies and works. Britta has also completed programs in dietary therapy, craniosacral and hands-on therapeutics, TuiNa or Chinese medical massage, gem + flower essence healing, hypnotherapy, meditation, and psychic/somatic journeying. Britta continues to explore comparative traditions in intuitive and classical medicine and was certified to teach yoga through Abhyasa Yoga‘s 200YTT Program. Britta is grateful for the wonderful teachers, guides and loved ones who have helped her land here and it is her heart-of-hearts wish that her work helps ease suffering so that all beings, without one single exception, may know the true nature of being – and alight*
