Broderick Walton

Fort Worth Texas

Mr. Broderick Walton, Sr., is no stranger to adversity. He spent most of his young years in a single parent household. His mother worked diligently to provide for him and his sibling. This meant the two boys spent a lot of time in the care of their grandparents. Broderick also witnessed the physical, mental, and emotional abuse his mother endured in different relationships. In his search for love and acceptance, Broderick turned to the streets. Broderick began hanging with local drug dealers, street hustlers and gang members. He adopted the “hustler” mentality and began doing various things to earn money—including attempting to sell drugs. Broderick believed he found the love and acceptance he was seeking. Yet, in the back of his mind, he knew his involvement with illegal activities could potentially land him in prison. It was the birth of his children that made Broderick realize he had a greater purpose in life. Despite being shot twice in two separate incidents, experiencing homelessness, and participation in illegal activities, Broderick didn’t feel that he had hit rock bottom until the life he built began to crumble. It was during this time that he began to seek and ultimately surrender his life to God. When Broderick relocated to North Carolina, God gave him the vision for Provisions Ministry Group. Broderick established a prayer line and began teaching and speaking in and around the Raleigh area. By sharing his testimony with others, Broderick encourages them to seek, trust, and rely on God to fill the void in their lives and received the love they so desperately seek. Broderick’s mission is to meet people where they are by sharing the love of Christ and encouraging them as they overcome the challenges they face.
