Brodie Cobb

A champion sailor for many years, Brodie Cobb developed his talents for the sport as a child growing up in Dallas, Texas. As an undergraduate at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Brodie Cobb continued to build upon his talents as a member of the school’s sailing team. Owing to his exemplary performance on the Tulane University Sailing Team, Brodie Cobb won selection to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-America squad, and later earned a tryout for the 1988 U.S. Olympic Sailing Team. Other sailing honors Brodie Cobb has accumulated include two U.S. Singlehanded Championships and a win at the 2006 Laser Masters World Championship in South Korea. Today, Brodie Cobb has shifted his principal athletic focus from sailing to competitive cycling, and regularly pursues such recreational activities as coaching youth soccer and snow skiing. A financial executive and investment advisor in his professional life, Brodie Cobb began to lay the foundations for his profession as a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied at the College of Business Administration, which is now known as the McCombs School of Business. Following the receipt of his M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Brodie Cobb entered into a diverse career, gaining formative experience at Security Pacific National Bank, First Boston Corporation, and Montgomery Securities. The founder, Executive Chairman, and Head of Automotive Retail at The Presidio Group, Brodie Cobb has provided the full spectrum of investment advisory services to clients nationwide since 1997. Brodie Cobb and his colleagues at Presidio launched a private equity fund, known as Presidio Financial Partners LLC, for promising young, growing companies. In addition to his work at Presidio, Brodie Cobb serves on the Board of Directors at Southwest Securities Inc. He lives in San Francisco, California, with his wife and three daughters.
