Jeff Browne is the director of CU News Corps, an investigative news project within the College of Media, Communication and Information at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is also an instructor in the Journalism Department of CMCI. He previously taught in the School of Journalism at the University of Kansas and served as the executive director of the Kansas Scholastic Press Association; worked as the newsroom adviser and director of Student Media at Colorado State University; taught journalism at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado; and worked as a sports reporter and editor at three daily newspapers in Florida — the Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, the Gainesville Sun, and the now-defunct Boca Raton News/News of Delray Beach. But that was a long time ago.
