Bruce Bennett

Since August 2011, Dr. Bruce C. Bennett has held responsibilities as Primary Psychiatrist at steadily expanding practices in Casper and Gillette, Wyoming. Bruce C. Bennett, M.D., assists patients living with mental disorders, providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing pharmacologic treatment. Accepting patients from the age of 14 and older, he maintains flexibility in accepting a wide variety of coverage types, including private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and self-pay. Dr. Bennett earned his Bachelor of Science in Photography, graduating cum laude from Utah State University in Logan; he minored in Biology. He subsequently earned a Master of Fine Arts at the same institution in Fine Art/Photography. Earning his Doctor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1997, he went on to complete a four-year internship and residency at the University of Utah and its affiliated hospitals. From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Bennett served as Staff Psychiatrist at a Kennewick, Washington, private practice, working in tandem with the Clinic Administrator and Medical Director to ensure optimized evaluation and outpatient treatment for all patients. He held Staff Psychiatrist and Chemical Dependency Unit Supervisor responsibilities at Lourdes Counseling Center in Richland, Washington, from 2003 to 2007, working closely with a treatment team to prevent hospitalization of patients. Prior to shifting his practice to Wyoming, he served with Sunderland Family Treatment Services in Kennewick for a year as Medical Director. Dr. Bruce C. Bennett has served patients in Casper since 2008, initially undertaking Staff Psychiatrist and Instructor responsibilities at the inpatient and outpatient Wyoming Behavioral Institute for three years.
