I got into UX design in grad school, where I spent 3 years studying social search. Prior to this, I worked in a brain research lab and analyzed people's cognitive reactions to drugs and things.

I make products easier to use. I've moderated 300+ research sessions so I've seen a lot of what users do and don't do on the web. With those insights, I've designed both consumer and enterprise products. I was the design lead at a small startup in San Francisco, before joining Google.

I love helping others think creatively. I've run gamestorming workshops for Estée Lauder, Apple, Google Ventures, Marsh Insurance and more.

I've organized two design-related conferences: @Overlap and @SketchCamp.
