Bryon Remo

A dynamic mental health services professional, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LFMT) Bryon Remo sits at the head of a private practice in Southbury, Connecticut, and guides a variety of clients in developing sustainable coping mechanisms. Bryon Remo laid the foundation for his career with a lengthy education, and wields a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Psychology from Bridgewater State College and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College. Prior to founding his own firm, Bryon Remo gained diverse experience through a series of roles in helping people.

From 1996 to 1998, Bryon Remo acted as a Special Needs Teacher at Millbury Memorial Junior/Senior High School in Boston, Massachusetts. In this capacity, he architected custom instruction plans designed to suit and expand upon his students’ capabilities, engaged in one-on-one case management, led achievement testing and reporting initiatives, and implemented new and helpful technologies within the classroom. His talents in the role propelled him toward a similar position at McCall Middle School in Winchester, where he served for a year before simultaneously assuming two new posts. In the first, as Therapeutic Teacher with Judge Baker Children’s Center, he introduced behavioral plans and maintained close communications with psychiatrists and caretakers. At this time, Bryon Remo also joined Wayside Youth & Family Support Network in Arlington as Family Therapist, School Consultant, and Transition Coordinator. In this regard, he gained substantial expertise in assisting individuals coping with issues including substance abuse, ADHD, family dynamics, and anger management. He continues to translate these lessons into everyday dealings with clients and employs a method focused on using the past as a foundation for a healthy future.
