- conquered mobile and wireless in Turkey when it was just a twinkle in America's eye (for one of Europe's largest GSM networks)
- patented for a laugh (I can sue you all) a method for location based messaging and a system to manage social networks on mobile devices in 2008
- led the development of a social smartphone called Nexus before the first Android handset (Hey Google no hard feelings!)
- sick of being asked where to eat & tired of asking friends for the next band to listen to, embarked on a path to solve the problem of recommendation through social discovery and curation
