My name is Shannon Burleson and I currently teach at Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, NC. I am a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Biology major and Chemistry and Spanish minors. I am definitely tarheel born and tarheel bred, I love nothing more than cheering on my tarheels or strolling through the quad on a nice day. I am originally from Morganton, a small town in western North Carolina. I am a mountain girl at heart, but love living in Raleigh. Despite the current political controversies and setbacks to the public education in North Carolina, I refuse to give up on the career I love and a state I will always call home.
