I was born in Texas in 1963, grew up in Southeast Texas from 1966-1981, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986, South Texas College of Law in 1990, and have practiced law in Houston since 1992.

I am a certified specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, though I handle a number of other legal matters, including estate planning and probate matters, such as guardianships, wills and trusts, family law matters, such as adoptions, divorces and child custody matters, civil litigation matters, such as business disputes, corporate organization/structure, including incorporation, limited liability corporations, limited liability partnerships, Subchapter S corporations and limited partnerships, along with a variety of personal injury matters, including medical malpractice claims, pharmaceutical litigation, catastrophic automobile collisions, like 18-wheeler and/or commercial vehicle collisions, and automobile collisions with drunk drivers.

I have significant trial experience in a variety of Courts throughout Texas, and have handled litigated matters all over Texas, specifically in Amarillo, Dallas, Beaumont/Port Arthur/Orange, Galveston, Lake Jackson, Bryan-College Station, Victoria, Corpus Christi, Austin, San Antonio and many, many in Houston. I have been a published contributor to the National Law Journal, the Texas Lawyer and other smaller publications regarding personal injury, medical malpractice and computer litigation. I have served as a Director for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and am a member of the American Association for Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the College of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association.

Finally, I have been married since 1990 to Rhonda Guest Barclay, and have three children, Meaghan, Brooks and Anderson. We are members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and I am part of a Men's Bible Study Group at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in the Houston Medical Center.
