While earning my B.A. in German Studies at Whitman College, I worked as a reporter and editor on the national award-winning newspaper The Whitman Pioneer, now known as the Whitman Wire. I created and hosted the German music radio show Midnight Monsoon on KWCW 90.5 FM, for which I operated the blog midnightmonsoon.com. In the summer of 2011, I interned at Seattle's premiere commercial radio station for alternative music, KNDD 107.7 The End.

After graduation, I embarked on a DAAD "internXchange" fellowship to study journalism in Berlin, and completed another radio internship at Berliner Rundfunk 91,4 before launching into my freelance career and my subsequent full-time roles at a digital agency, Universum AG, and a commercial radio station, ENERGY Berlin 103,4.
