Career Care Institute

Career Care Institute, which has three locations in California, helps students secure a number of types of financial aid. The Federal Pell Grant, for example, is available for those from low-income families.The PLUS, or the Federal Parent PLUS Loan for undergraduate students, comes with the option of consolidation. Federal Stafford Loans, which are available subsidized and unsubsidized, also are available to Career Care Institute students.

Career Care Institute also participates in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs assistance and Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts programs. Greater Avenues for Independence for Los Angeles County, a welfare-to-work program, the Workforce Investment Act, and private rehabilitation benefits are other programs recognized by the school. Prior to enrollment, interested Career Care Institute students must meet with a financial aid officer to explore their options.

Founded in 1998, Career Care Institute was established to fill a void in the healthcare industry, especially in the communities in which the schools are located. Originally based in Lancaster, California, the school now has campuses in Ventura and Moreno Valley. Some of the professions Career Care Institute students can pursue at the school include medical assistant, dental assistant, X-ray technician, and vocational nurse.

Career Care Institute was founded by healthcare professional veteran Edmund Carrasco, who maintains close ties to doctors and dentist offices, specialists, and hospitals to stay atop of the latest industry trends. Career Care Institute holds accreditation from the Council on Occupational Education and various state agencies.
