Hi there! My name is Carla Botella. A long time ago I read Alice in Wonderland and that made me decide that I wanted to become a translator. So that is why I studied Translation and Interpreting. I'm also a Spanish-English/English-Spanish Sworn Interpreter. However, I love cinema, so I decided to get a PhD in Audiovisual Translation, to combine both. I can't translate as much as I would like, since I'm always teaching, (right now at the University of Alicante) something that I love too. Finally, I direct an academic program (Language & Culture at CIEE) for American students at the University of Alicante, something that allows me to be in touch with the US everyday!
