Carlos McKnight

Carlos was born on December 8, 1997 at George Washington University Hospital. He attended Rehma Christian Academy School in the District of Columbia from Pre-K until 6th grade. There Carlos conducted mock President Campaigns for the 2008 elections (Barack Obama v. John McCain). Later, he transferred to Community Academy Public Charter Middle School (C.A.P.C.S.) in the District of Columbia where he received numerous awards. Leaving there as the school's President and Valedictorian. Now he's a student at Thurgood Marshall Academy Public Charter High School in Ward 8. His interest in politics has won him a place as the Freshman Class Representative. Carlos is the Youth Block Captain in his community and is an active volunteer at his neighborhood library (Lamond-Riggs). Carlos has represented his Recreation Center (Riggs-LaSalle) at the Mayor's Pre-Inaugural Youth Luncheon. He has participated in several City Campaigns and has volunteer at The Washington Animal Rescue League (W.A.R.L.), helped to delivered and collected food for the So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.) Kitchen, participated in the Help the Homeless Walk-a-thon and many other charitable events throughout the City.

Carlos is a caring young person who loves his family and others. Carlos was the Class Representative of the 9th Grade. He attends the only Law Themed school in Washington, D.C. in Ward 8. Carlos hopes to be a politician when he is of age and hopes to serve well. Carlos was the Junior Deputy Youth Mayor in the DC Youth Government. LGBTQ Advocate
